Festival d’opéra and Tempêtes & Passions present Viennese Musical Delights, an immersive experience in the music and culture of early 20th century Vienna.
Hear the best of Viennese operetta, including pieces from Die Fledermaus and The Merry Widow against the elegant backdrop of a typical Viennese café. This concert will plunge you into the heady atmosphere of the era with arias by Johann Strauss II, Lehár, and Kálmán, performed by Quebec’s best young opera singers.
A tasting of Austrian desserts from Café-Boulangerie Paillard (Sachertorte, Linzertorte, and Milchrahmstrudel) will be available for $5 before the performance and during intermission. Coffee, water, and juice will be available for $1 (cash only).
