What does Shakespeare have to do with the opera? Well, the world’s most famous English-language playwright influenced countless composers, including Verdi, Gounod, Ambroise Thomas, and many others.

Tempêtes & Passions and Les Musées de la civilisation present several operatic jewels inspired by the author of Romeo and Juliet and  A Midsummer Night’s Dream, hosted by fascinating musicologist Georges Nicholson.
